Good question. I have the store card as well. I don't know of anyone in these forums who has the Mastercard version. All of the previous threads regarding this same topic have come up empty.

Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!

Re: Ann Taylor MasterCard upgrade

Hi, I have the Ann Taylor MC. I opened it ~2 yrs ago w/ fair credit range - avg Ficos 660. I've asked for a few increases & got them each time. Started out @ $1500, then 7 mos ago $2000, 2 mos ago $5000. Then 3 was ago, I asked for $10,000! I was approved each time. But I called in last 2 times to request. My scores now are ok. 673, 665, 668 w/ 5 yr old BK7 (divorced trial attorney - he won & dumped his debt on my- I folded). So, last increase to $10K- I asked for decrease in APR- got it!! Went from advertised 24.99% to 21%! Best card I have & greatly improved my credit. Next 6 months, I know I will see better scores across the board & better usage (lower debt to credit ratio). I also have relatively high income ~$132K. So other's might not have that great of increases. But I advise keep buying things & paying it off b4 end of month- collect the points & get reward cards to buy clothes on the cheap. This month's promo- 4X gas, dining, Rx, & grocery!!!! I spent $1500 but I would have spent that anyway w/ spouses work travel. Added him as AU- collect > points! Good Luck!!

Thanks for sharing that. Since this original post, someone else mentioned being offered the upgrade at the register after using their store card to make a purchase.

Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
