So it's been a year roughly since I opened my apple card. I went ahead and used the luv button for a CLI and was denied. I just got the letter and the reasons were:
ratio of payments to balance is too low - there was about 4 months of min payments followed by a PIF. Last month I paid off 2 cards to the tune of about $3800.
too many inquiries on file - my TU has 14, all are about 1-2 years old. No recents.
question is - should I recon this? Is it possible? Have never had a CLI with this card. Sits at $2600, empty now...

You can try to recon since you've already took the HP on it. They will probably say they want to see more payment history blah blah blah and something about the inquires also.
So just as an update, I called the backdoor number this afternoon for a recon. The analyst told me that she saw my request for a CLI and the computer denied it. She also told me that the computer did a SP and used "internal information."
She told me she could run the CLI request but it would require a HP. I made it clear to ask if the computer's CLI request was NOT a HP and she said correct. I had her run the HP and go with the information I put for the online request (I requested $5000).
She asked be the usual questions, told me I was managing my credit lines (outside of Barclay as well) very well and that is what they like to see. She granted my CLI to $5000 without a counter or a hassle.
The letter I got from the original CLI denial was a TU score of 666 (lol).
Pretty satisfied with that. Also broke 10k in revolving credit exposure with Barclay being my highest now at 5k.
Nicely done, enjoy
