Another Chase question

Anybody experience when they receive the 2 week notification Vs. the 7-10 day notice they end up being approved for a chase card?  I'm saying when you call the app status line. Thanks just want some feedback from others here.

Re: Another Chase question

2 week message is generally good news. Call Monday they just probably want to verify it's actually you.

Re: Another Chase question

With Chase Freedom, I got that and called right away. They approved me.

With my spouse, called the first time, it was a no-go. They gave all sorts of reasons why it didn't get approve. Waited another 2.5 weeks, called back for a recon again for the second time, she said why was he late, etc. And then approved him for much smaller than mine but at least it got approved!

I'm not sure but I really think it depends on who you get on the other line!

These days, both can mean anything.  Ring them on Monday and see what is going on.  Keep us posted.

Agreed. I've never been instantly approved with Chase, even with a prequal. After a few days pending though, I was approved with both Ink Cash and Slate.

For verification. They want copy of ID. Don't fax it. You are wasting time. Ask them for address. Send it overnight. Certified. You will be approved. Their fax machine sucks. They will say after a week they could not read it. Take it from experience. Just got approved Friday. After 11 days of verification hell. You will keep this in mind when you call. Also ask for reference number to put on paper with copy of ID

YMMV is definitely the rule here. I've gone through FOUR verifications with Chase and faxed in on all four and was approved with all four without issue. Sending overnight, while certainly effective, is not cheap lol. Anyway, after my fourth verification I finally called TU and found I had an old fraud alert, removed it, and my next Chase app was instant approval.

OP I'm sure you're good to go!

Re: Another Chase question

I'm sure that is case after you already have a chase card. But for those of us that had none. This was case. It was not expensive. It was. 3 dollars. But. Hey. If they don't ask for ID. I'm sure op is fine. Some they just ask 3 questions. But like your fraud alert. I had froze my eq. Which is what they pull here. So I think that's why they wanted ID. I'm just saying don't give up. It truly is a ymmv.
