Any Experience Apping Elan Using Spousal Income?

Hi All,

My DW is thinking about applying for an Elan Max Cash Preferred Card. She's a homemaker without personal income, but has access to my income. I'm wondering how US Bank / Elan are about allowing her to include my income. I know large banks are okay with it, but we ran into some issues with CUs over the years. It says "Include, if applicable, spousal / domestic partner income" on the app (but so did some of the CUs), so would love to hear any datapoints you have before wasting an HP.

Thanks!

I have an elan card and use solely my husband's income. It was not that way when I applied 5+ years ago but they don't seem to care either way. Also I was just approved in October for discover using only my husband's income.

@Doodlebug30 , then you got very lucky with Disco.

SO is a stay at home and he app'd and got a Disco using HHI (which is lwgit according to the terms on the app). They requested 4506-T a week later and they finally closed his account 3 months from opening. Never even got the card or to use it at all.

Yeah we called many times and they said they would only send the 4506 T request for SO, so they were unwilling to verify my income and worse yet - this is when everyone was allowed to send in bank statements and they told us that was not a "thing" and not allowed. There are still reports of bank statements being accepted.

They were so cruel they told us this would be a bad mark on our credit since they will place "closed by grantor" in the remarks. Lol they reqlly did not want our business, apparently.

Their loss. Cap One will rake in all our swipes, oh well!
