Any idea if you can convert Barclay cards?

I have an apple Visa card and I just don't have a need for the apple rewards. Can I convert to a MasterCard or is that a separate application?

Re: Any idea if you can convert Barclay cards?

I called barclay to try to product change to the Wyndham Rewards. They told me I would have to apply for the card. I don't know if the info was accurate or if it's not possible. I plan on calling back tomorrow. Someone here will likely have an answer, though.

Re: Any idea if you can convert Barclay cards?

I have a Juniper card that they will convert for me at a later date. way too many inquiries and new accounts. I think you canmake a regular Barclaycard into a co branded card but you can't trade co-branded cards, and not sure if you can convert a co branded into a regular one. However you can move limits a lot like chase, so best way to do it is just to get a second card acct when feasible.

Some people on this forum have been able to PC their apple rewards to the Barclay Rewards card. Havent seen anyone able to PC to another co-branded card however.

I was able to convert my US Airways to Arrival. I blatantly lied that American did not fly out of my town anymore because of the merger and they did it without hesitation. I requested it through a Facebook message. Not my finest moment of being ethical, but they were happy to convert me over.

I did the same although mine was the AAviator Red last month when I PC to the no-AF Arrival. I didn't lie, I just told them it wasn't useful for my needs and wanted a no-AF card instead; then I asked if I had PC options on my account. She offered the Rewards card and Arrival. No hassle at all.
