Any one ever experience this with NFCY related to inquiries?

My wife pre-qualified for NFCU platinum card. She proceeded to submit and was declined. Strangely this was a soft pull and no hard pull.

NFCU's prequalify is notoriously unreliable. I don't understand why they have it when it doesn't even matter.

I agree, I just didn't understand the no hard pull for credit. All my apps were hard pull

Shes a bit bummed about the denial because she has 780 Exp, 805 EQ and 802 on Trans with 2 inquiries in 24 months and makes 250K+. I told her to just move on and be thankful she dodged the inquiry

Did she recieve a response yet as to why she was denied ?  What other products / history does she have with with NFCU ?

Agree it should have been HP - also depending on the time of day she applied it might be delayed in showing on her reports.

That's what I thought and it wasn't. She has a pledge loan for 5k that'd 90% paid, 15K in savings account and about 3k in her checking. No response yet to message she sent for recon. The denial said she'd get a letter in 7 days

NFCU is all about time and relationship.

They are quirky for sure.

I about lost my mind when I first  joined them and was denied for Flagship.

Now I love them.
