So on the 22nd of this month i applied for the quicksilver visa and got the 7-10 message. At that time i already had a quicksilver mc with 5k limit and a venture with 20k, both always paid to zero before statement cut. Scores were in the mid to upper 600's and have never had any issues with any lates of any kind, probably about 8 inquiries between all 3 reports since last summer. Being kind of suprised at the decision, i emailed the EO with a long but polite letter about the application and mapping out my financial situation and trying to alleviate any concerns they might have for extending more credit. Next evening got a call from a very nice woman from the EO office and after making small talk about a few things she asked if i wanted them to do a reconsideration on the app and advised me it would result in another tri-pull, hence i had no intentions of trying to obtain any more cards for awhile i said okay to the recon accompanied by the new pulls. She said it usually takes 3-5 days for the process to complete and then i would be notified by mail. That conversation occured on the evening of the 23rd, and here we are passing into april and i have yet to see the subsequent pulls from the recon or received any further correspondence. My question to the community is, has anyone else had this type of experience with the cap1 EO on recons, and should the lack of new inquiries be looked at as "good" news or "bad", and also should i wait it out or perhaps try to contact them again either via phone or email?
