The suggestions are just marketing. If you MUST have a new card get the platinum. Again, and again, and again, your best bet is to stay calm for 6-12 months and let the cards percolate.

Thanks once again.

I'd suggest getting started on an NFCU membership, then gardening for a minimum of 6 months before apping one of their cards.  Great CU for rebuilders, and if you're good to them, they're crazy good to you.

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, I don't have any connections to military and I don't have anyone in my family who does either. So looking at their website it seems like it is not an option for me.

Absolutely great choice - I recommend their pre-qualifier to get a sneak peek (without a hard pull) of just what they might offer you

I just tried 2 different ways:

1. when I choose that I am interested in low rate it gives me Capital One Platinum at 24.99%

2. when I change it to "cash back" it offers me Capital One Quick Silver 1.5% cash back with annual fee of $39, but still at 24.99&

Which one of them is better choise? Which one would come with higher limit? which one will increase the limit faster?

Is there specific reason that Platinum is better? Or is it better because I qualified for it? I am askind because I prequalify for both depending on wheter I answer "low interest" or "cash back" to the question on the application

I recommend Option 1

Mainly because it doesn't have an annual fee (why pay for credit?  seriously) - after 60 days of responsible use you will be able to product change to the Quicksilver, still get your 1.5% cash back, still with no AF

Or you could go for the Quicksilver One with a $39 AF.

I will tell you that if you choose the any Capital one card with an AF, you'll have to pull teeth to get it switched to a no-AF card later
