Anybody withdrew a cap one limit increase?

So just for fun I tried to increase my limit on my cap one card. Currently has a $5k limit.

I filled out the info and submitted. It was approved for a $400 increase.

I decided that wasn't enough and turned it down. I'm gonna run more though the card and try again.

Maybe 3 months from now! Anyone had luck with this? Getting more after waiting.

Re: Anybody withdrew a cap one limit increase?

Why didn't you take it?  I got a 3k increase on mine after 2 months.  And when I called CAP 1 after running a massive limit through it, I am told I can request another one in 6 months...

There's a few people on here that has withdrawn. My partner hit the button and was offered $100 increase. He did accept it and just keeps hitting it monthly. He's not too concerned about his limit.

I didn't want a $400 increase. Looking for something more serious. Lol

Well wait until your credit significantly changes and try again or just flat out apply for another card. Capital one is a conservative lender, especially for their rebuilder cards

Re: Anybody withdrew a cap one limit increase?

FWIW, I completely agree with your decision. In fact, I intend to request a CLI on my Venture $15K SL the end of the week, about 75 days since opening. If they offer me anything sub-$3K, I'll decline and resubmit in 30 days.

Cap1 conservative? Shirley you jest, maybe with CLIs but, not new cards.

If I were the OP, I'd apply for 2 new cards and hope for a single triple pull.

IF I do get a substantial CLI on Venture I'm going to close my Platinum at $3.5K.

I've pushed about $3-7K monthly through my cards in appreciation of their generosity.

Re: Anybody withdrew a cap one limit increase?

My credit won't significantly change I don't think.
I'm in the garden and not applying for anything for another 9 months.

I'm only doing SP CLI and letting my accounts age. The last spree brought me down some but I am starting to the my scores inch back up and it feels great.
The spree was necessary because all I had was a store card and a little usaa card which sucked on rewards.

Now I rack in rewards and make sure I use the best card to get the most back.

I wish I would of started using cards eariler lol

Re: Anybody withdrew a cap one limit increase?

That's a great idea op. Just remember that if you keep getting undesirable cli offers, just app for a new card. There have been plenty of people who can't get a cli but get a new card with a 2000 sl.
