You can call in and ask them to reconsider the starting limit they gave you. They will use the same HP since the account is new but make sure to confirm this with the CSR.

Doesn't hurt to try 2 or 3 times. Go for it! Were you connected with an analyst using that number?
Have you done the 3x CLI with your Amex card?

No I had to ask for the credit dept. Is there a direct number?
It was just opened at the end of Feb and I tried around end of March and I was denied.

Just make sure you're speaking with an analyst and not a customer service representative.
They seem to be new account sensitive because they brought up my new accounts. By the way, the credit analyst said he would request a SP. Is this how they do CLI?
I will try again but I guess I should be grateful that I was even approved. I got a little nervous because I got the 7-10 message but I had a feeling it was due to a security issue and I called verified info and I was informed that I was approved.
