Probably income. Most CU's like to see hard evidence (many don't run their own CC service, approval, report and score risk assessment, along with some billing, handled by one company).

Re: App'd for NASA Platinum Advantage Rewards!

Congrats! Followed this thread as I also applied for NASA fcu membership. They replied days later requesting verification. I'll be submitting documentation and hopefully be in the door, so I can app for their cash rewards card. I'd wish for a limit like yours! My biggest limit is $10k. Cheers!

Re: App'd for NASA Platinum Advantage Rewards!

well you guys were right. Nasa is a slow lengthy process. Had to send in income verification, ID, etc. All over the last week and half. At least 5 phone calls.

Today received letter of AA, unable to extend credit to me due to excessive obligations in relation to income.

Whatever, it was only two Experian soft pulls. Could be a lot worse. Just sad they said I was approved for 10.9% and $20k!

Any point in a recon with a credit union? Or just give it time? I have less than 3k in balances and most of that will be paid off in a week....my income is $93k!

Sorry op!! I don't understand why Nasa approved $20,000 then denied you after you sent documents.

I'm telling you, NASA is like Goldilocks -- credit file too thin, this one's got too much exposure, this one not enough income.  If anyone ever figures them out, please let me know.
