Been searching all over to try and get an idea on what I should do, as of 2 weeks ago I didn't know what "gardening" was. Well here is my story:
Apped for 4 cards recently and just need some advice on when to ask for CLI
1/18/16 apped and approved Chase Slate 2K
1/20 apped and approved Amex Everday 4K
1/22 apped and approved Discover It 5.5K
2/22 apped and approved Citi DC 3.7K
I transferred some high interest stuff from Home Depot, Dell, Capitol one over to the new cards as they all have 0% for at least 12 monhts, and with that time I should have it paid down to 0. Due to all this volitility though in the new apps and pulls and changing of credit score dropped from 720 to 690.
I just need some advice on when to ask and with whom to try and get some luv on these new cards.
Thanks in advance!!
Chase will be a hard pull any time you try a CLI, and they are known to be stingy. Amex you can ask now for up to 3X your CLI, and it's a soft pull. Discover you're not likely to get anything for at least 91 days, but it's a soft pull to try. With Citi a CLI link will appear in your account when you're eligible.
Thank you so much for the information. got a lot done in one post!!!!
