Apping for Amex in Chrome "incognito" window

Has anyone, specifically a current card member, applied for a new Amex while using the incognito mode in Chrome? I read about different offers possibly available while using an incognito window. It's true. The current PRG offer is 25k MR points. In incognito, it's 50k. I have an Amex ED and am thinking of applying. Curious as to other's experience.

Yes current card members can apply for a better offer while going incognito but there is no guarantee that the offer will be matched.  Its always YMMV.

Yes I was a current amex cardholder when i applied for the PRG incognto offer. Was approved and CSR confirmed the 50k bonus offer as well.

I was prequal'd for the BCE a while back at $150 bonus.

Just going to their site, regular shows $100, incognito shows $150.

Hmm.

Yes. I actually picked up the BCP using an icognito window and got the higher sign up bonus. After I was approved I was able to link the new account to my other accounts online

I have had 7 Amex cards total so far, and applied to most of them in incognito mode. They have to honor the terms that you applied for if they approve the application.

I got approved and received my 50k MR on the PRG when I applied incognito. I believe they will honour the offer if you apply and get approved. I just don't understand why they have different offers if you go in incognito vs a normal browser

Right. it doesn't make much sense to me either. Offer, don't offer...why the spy games?

Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.

Sorry to resurrect this. But, did you sign in to your Amex account while in the incognito window? When I did that, it reverted to the regular offer, not the 50k MR. Just wondering if they recognize you when you enter your social or do you need to sign in...in terms of whatever advantages one may be afforded as a current cardmember.

Thanks again!

Don't sign into your account when you pull up the incognito offer. Just fill in the necessary fields as if it's an external application (all within the incognito browser). Once you're approved, then you are free to do what you want.
