Thanks for the dp
With being pre-qualified along with 0/6 and your income you should be perfectly fine to apply. Also I've only ever seen people who are members get pre-approved so you should also be a SP on this but don't quote me. I've actually been forced by Amex to close two cards to open a new one before along with closing a card then getting a new one soon after so they don't seem to be too bothered by that.
I'm prequalified I have no relationship with Amex so definitely hp I'm just afraid they will think im churning with card closures

If you had a card in the past you keep your membership status so not 100% a HP. I've gotten over 10 Amex cards in less than two years and stopped using many of them after the SUB. It's worth a try to apply I would think.

You'll have a pretty good idea that you've reached that particular tipping point with them when you submit your application and get a popup that they'll accept your application but you're ineligible for any SUB. If you choose to click through and submit they will process the application in good faith but if approved they'll be true to their word and you won't collect a SUB.
Never had an Amex period. I was just asking someone in the 730s around here applied and was denied with cited reason was closed accounts recently and he waited until over 6 months and was approved, however I know all profiles are different and for their case this may have pushed them over the edge I don't foresee it being a problem with a 780 and my dti and total debt load but was just trying to find counter points to this specific person which I have 1 now at least
