The reason I want to see my score hit 670, is because I’ve read that 670 is supposed to the magic number to good credit. I just want see it and give myself a pat on the back. I’ve worked really hard to get to this point.

You may have seen something like this in your readings, which I pulled from NFCU:

Score Range Rating
800+Exceptional
740-799Very Good
670-739Good
580-669Fair
<580Poor

A FICO score of 670 bumps you out of the fair range into the start of the good range. So absolutely pat yourself on the back for working hard to get to that point.

And as your scores and overall credit profile continue to increase, more doors will open to prime cards, lower APR, higher SLs.

We all have a FICO score in mind we want to reach. You’ll notice in my tag line my 2020 goal is the 800 club. That’s my magic number. There’s no rhyme or reason since IMO 800 will open no more doors than the scores I already have, but it’s my own personal goal I have set.

Continue your journey. You’re on the right track.

Stuck at 665 TU here.

@Howaboutthat, I made a minor edit to your thread subject to indicate that you are holding off on accepting the approval.

You can also accept it to get your foot in the door and then grow it in time.
