Apple Card CLI after 2 purchases? Is this normal?

I applied and was approved for an Apple card last week. $1K. Not a great limit at all, leaving me wondering if it was worth the effort. My credit  score wavers between 695 and 710 depending on my spending, with a student loan chargeoff and ATT collection (I HATE THEM -- closed my DirecTV account before the pandemic and they hit me with a $65 charge grrrr). Since summer started, my utilization has been @Anonymous% with recent and upcoming travel spends. So, meh.

Added card to my phone wallet, used it 2X for morning gas station coffee, and bling..notification in my email that I recieved a $500 CLI. Is this normal? I've seen YT videos (research before I applied) saying if you use the card regularly, even with small purchases, CLI's should be possible after 60 days. Is this what I should expect? It would be nice to get above $3K, then I could use it for more realistic purchases.

Didn't happen to me.  I got started out with 3K.  I put alot of small spend on it and maybe one big spend at the dealship for almost 1K.   Applied for CLI and now I'm up to 10K.   Apple likes to see spend and paid in full
