Apple Card by Goldman Sachs - CLI now INSTANT

Goldman Sachs is approving/denying CLI's instantly now. The Reddit AppleCard forums have multiple data points confirming. I decided to volunteer as a tribute and requested a CLI a couple min. ago and it was instantly denied 😂. 

• The proportion of your credit limit you have used and paid is not sufficient

So seems they're still denying people for not using the card as their daily driver. I have a 3k SL and only use it for my reoccurring Apple purchases. Maybe $45/month which doesn't seem to be enough to warrant a CLI.

The process hasn't changed though, you open a chat, request the CLI, and the CSR will tell you (5) business days but it's almost instant now. I got an email in under 1min denying me.

Maybe one day Goldman Sachs will allow CLI for people who use their CC but don't MAX them out. Until then it's SD'd on Apple Purchases.

Thanks for sharing but i doubt using it for only  $45  out of $3k would even register as someone not maxing it out

There's a LOT of perfectly reasonable middle ground between maxing out a card and only using 1.5% of your credit line on a continual basis.

You're using the card for a tiny amount every month. Is there really any need for an increase? If they increased it, would you suddenly be using it more?

I'd assume you still would not, which means the denial makes sense IMO. If you really do want a CLI I would definitely suggest using the card more.

Me or the Op... If its me, i try to put roughly 300+ a month on it.. but im not gonna cut into my other rewards for them....

Actually want to put my next apple devices on it if they offer financing... otherwise ill stick to other cards which offer me 0 or really low offers...

Exactly, I got the card to use for my Apple Purchases including the iPhone every year. But I'm not going to just use their card and take away from my daily drivers to increase the credit limit. I'm hoping as time moves on they will tweak the algorithm to be more understanding to people who use the card for large purchases once or twice a year.
