There's been DPs on similar declined outcomes @Red1BlueI mean, they're not wrong, right?

Hi @Papa_Bear may I ask how many inquires do you have on your TU. I have total 13 on my TU. I have only 8 in the last 12 months. 4 of them from US Bank  2 for unsecuring my secured cards and 2 for increasing the limit on my secured cards. Without those 4 from US Bank I would be only 4 in the last 12 months. Well I can live with out cli from Apple card but I dont understand how many inqs are too many inqs and also how some lenders abuse the Hard Inqs.

Re: Apple Card cli decline due to inquiries.

GS is for sure INQ sensitive from what I've seen. I have the Apple card and have had it a while now. But is was actally offered to me in an email right after it came out. All I had to do was accept. My first CLI was declined for lack of usage which was for sure true. All since have been approved. Next one may not be though because of new cards Smiley Surprised

Hi @FinStar I am not sure what to think. I think GS is changing some of their lending rules after they started issuing the GM Cards. I am sure they are revamping their rules. We will know soon in the future what changes they are making.

Lol "only" 8 inquiries less than a year old? I totally see why they wouldn't like that. For the average consumer, that is pretty extensive credit seeking behavior.

Hi @dragontears I understand how you feel about it. But 4 inquires are from US Bank alone that deals with my secured cards. Otherwise it is only 4 /12. I am sure they could have done it with soft inqs instead of 4 hard inqs. Any way it is water under the bridge and these inquiries will wash off.

I don't think they're really changing the rules per se. That specific reason for CLI request has been reported by plenty of members in the past. AI + Algorithms are making the decision.  The GM reported denials also have cited similar reasons for not qualifying for an approval. What rules are you sure are being revamped or are you simply speculating?

As far as inquiries go, US Bank is not "abusing" the process - FYI. As far as the 4 HPs you mentioned, you applied for 2 new secured accounts and you attempted to unsecure 2 other USB CCs. That's been their UW policy all along. I realize gardening has been a challenge for you, but you can't blame USB for said HP activities 🤷‍♂️
