@joltdude wrote:@Anonymous Did they ask you how much you wanted, and/or if they could use your purchase history?
I wasn't asked but I know a few folks were....

They asked me how much I wanted so I told them $5K.

@Saeren How much you been running thru the fruit card?
Not a lot. I was using it for App Store purchases before I got my BCP. Probably run $500 through it?
Just got an email about my CLI. Approved for +$500.
Honestly... I am pretty dissapointed after seeing a few significantly larger increases on here and reddit. But I will take what I can get I suppose.
I think I am most dissapointed due to the drastic improvement in my profile since the original application (see DP's below). It looks like carrying a balance hurt me this time around.
I am gonna try this format to standardize DP's as they continue to roll in, feel free to use it as a copy/paste template or ignore it.
Date Approved: 8/24/2019
SL: $3,000
Date CLI Requested: 11/24/2019
Outcome: CLI approved + $500
Outcome Date: 12/11/2019 (17 days)
Relevant DP's:
- Carrying balance of nearly 30% utilization on Apple Card b/c tradeline was hidden.
- TU Score at time of application: 615 (Fico 8)
- Overall Utilization at time of original application: ~ 45%
- TU Score at time of CLI: 724 (Fico 8)
- Overall Utilization at time of CLI: ~10%
Well it looks like mine is the first decline.
Oh well, no more spend going to that card anyway.
TU9 - 754, 3% utilization ($3079), 20% DTI.

Thanks for DP @Anonymous .. sorry to hear the outcome. suppose income and dti were a factor. wonder why some people are hearing back in approx 15-17 days while others at 28-30 days.. I have yet to her back on mine, it could go either way still although 7500 is workable, but more as always is preferred. I certainly have a higher DTI than you due to house, car, etc.... So be interesting if they use DTI on my decision possibly another denial is coming my way.....
Thanks CC. When I applied, I screwed up and put my actual income rather than the 30% inflated income they want from people whose income isn't taxable so that definitely raised my DTI although I just went and did the math and my DTI is almost exactly 22% right now which is actually very impressive when you look at the fact that I only get ~$1500 a month...
Its not a big deal to me. As long as I have the BCP earning 6% on App Store, I have zero use for this card now that it has become clear that Apple is going to continue to prioritize carrier profits over their customers and not offer financing for SIM-less devices.
It can stay in the SD unless I decide to close it.

Saeren I was rooting for you, I got an email last night/ this morning and Apple has a 6% off offer for using the Apple Card on iPhones along with 24 months interest free and 3% back in their daily cash. I thought if you got the cli you’d definitely put it to use...
I would have put it to use even with the $2500 limit if Apple would have opened up financing to SIM-less iPhones but SIM-less are still required to be paid upfront, not financed, so I had already given up on that idea in my mind.
I have a feeling that they don't like the $1569 on my SavorOne and $864 on my Rewards+ which is fair. I'll be back to PIF soon enough.
