I applied for a CLI a couple of days ago. If I get the "proportion of your CL..." excuse, I'll know they're just giving out standard copy/paste BS rejection notices. I've been cycling my $15k SL at least twice a month and even twice a week one time, and paying off right away to the point they've held my CL for several business days after making payments. It sucks they take up to 30 days to get a response according to a rep.
I'll post results when I hear back...
You will get one if you are cycling that kinda money through them... If don't I wuld be shocked! Rest of us are just saying cold shoulder and putting some DP's out there despite alot of stellar profiles/incomes. I wouldnt be suprised if you get a 10-15k CLI. Best of luck as you truely deserve it if you are putting that kinda money through it.

I hope they won't give me a $500 CLI, lol. At first, they were clearing my CL immediately after payment -- just like Citi. Lately, they've been holding my CL. Last payment was made a few days ago and I had to call to find out why my available CL hasn't been released. I was told I have to wait till after Xmas now even though the payment posted early in the week. I have a $0 balance. ![]()

Ummmm ... THAT's not gonna happen with those kind of numbers!
Dang @imaximous mind if I ask what you're buying?
Five transactions for $33,748 (average of $6750 each?!) They're gonna love you, dude! I see a huge CLI coming your way with that kind of spend! Somebody must be getting a very good Christmas this year! ![]()

I was hoping for 1500 (or more).. But i'd even be happy with the "consolation prize" of 500... (which is what I kinda expected..) but zip..zero. nada... Even stingier than my notoriously conservative CU card...
Far as im concerned, this is a charge card.... Still hoping to have financing offers on apple products other than the phone..

ha! Xmas? none of that. I've been using it for some business purchases. I don't want to hoard too many points because I can't use them quickly enough. So, I switched up some spending to cashback cards once I realized that, realistically, I don't have enough time or flexibility to burn miles or rewards even if the return is lower. Out of the three 2% cards I have, I was enjoying this card the most for 3 reasons: cashback becomes available as soon as transactions post; they've never declined a purchase no matter the amount; and they 'were' releasing my CL right after making a payment, which allowed me to charge more right away.

Ah ... that explains it. Yes, I agree that having multiple ways and systems to earn points - miles - cash is good. I like diversity, although I doubt I would ever run the kinds of numbers you do. Best wishes with your CLI request. I think you'll be the exception to our recent streak of declines!
