I think people are jumping the gun on CLI request. I think CLI request will look very different by the time the next iPhone ships.
Right now they have no reason other than heavy spend to increase anyone's limit. I am betting we will see auto CLI, and regular reporting by then.
That may be true but there's another problem. GS is using mortgage underwriting and I wasn't aware of this when I told them my income. Since my income is not taxable, I was supposed to report it 25% higher. I guarantee you that $18,300 is going to hold me back more than $22,875 would have. I have asked them about updating my income and they say I have to cancel my card and apply again. 😖
I will wait it out and see what happens but the card is literally getting no use because I have cards with better rewards for all categories. My BCP gives me 6% on App Store so Apple Card doesn't even get that spend.
I don’t know about the auto cli
I've had the card since early January and asked for a credit increase because I had gotten a raise. I knew from this forum that you couldn't change your income without applying for a completely new card, so of course the answer was "We don't have the ability to do that just yet."
So I just asked for a credit increase instead..I always PIF and do multiple payments throughout the cycle and use the card consistently. It took them 3 days to decide, and I got a $500 credit increase. Of course I would have liked more, but considering I've only had the card since January...I'll take it!
This should set the record straight on having to wait 3-6 months to try and get an increase.

Thanks for the update that they still can't change your income... I was going to try pinging them about that again here soon. I really don't want to have a card with 60% utilization when I buy a new phone in September but its looking like I'm not going to have a choice in the matter unless I want to pay it off early. 🤦♂️
I'm stuck with a $250 limit on my Apple Card and can't seem to get a CLI no matter what I do! I'll keep waiting and try again later.. My income has gone up dramatically since I first got the card, but according to other posts on this thread, it's impossible to change your income.
I tried again for a cli but they denied me again for the same "your score has decreased since becoming a member" bs even though my score went up 3 points from the last request according to their denial. My account is now 6m old so I guess they just don't like me lol. That's ok, I've got my new Amex BCP and I'm gonna SD GS.
I had the card since October. Requested a CLI last Tuesday via the support chat and received the increase Friday morning. At the time of originally getting approved I didn't have a FICO score (new to credit) but since then currently have a 717 TU score. Went from $1000 SL to $2000 (currently)
Got the card in October with $1K, used only to buy only Apple peripherals. Last week I requested a cli. and it increased to $1.5K.
TU 730 but I have a short credit history.
I don't remember when I signed up but was approved $6.5k limit. Chatted for a CLI in Feb 2020 and they gave me $1k. I chatted the other day and they said I need to wait 6 months before I ask for another.
I only use this card 3-4 times per month for $5 purchases from the mini mart next to my office because they take Apple Pay. I have bought an iPad and a couple other $200-300 purchases over the last 6 months on it so it does regularly get used.
Was happy to get something but considering all but my Chase Amazon card have $20k+ limits I am a little surprised. I don't know why Chase hates me...
Are they doing SP, or HP CLI requests?
