They told me my TU score is a: 715
Reason for rejection: "You have recently been past due"
This is most definitely not the case as I have not had anything past due.

Wasn't going to take it, but hate to hear generic false reasons for rejection. At least if they would have stated my BK in 2014. But "recently past due?" Seriously?
My Bk was last year and I get the recent BK reason. I also get the "recently past due" reason which I attribute to the lates that happened before filing. Maybe going through your CRs with a fine tooth comb might bring something to light...?
also I know GS checks Chexsystems and one other one. I had another denial reason for the Apple Card a few months ago which ended up being a checking account LoC that was IIB ... I disputed it with chexsystems and they deleted and that denial message went away next time I appd for the Apple Card

I would be a whole lot less sympathetic regarding your denial if the government had not bailed out the card's issuer in the last recession, which the issuer had a hand in creating.
Sorry to hear that!
I'm very OK with it, it was just a test run to see if they'd accept me. I'm more bothered by the generic reason that I was rejected for. Even if they would have accepted me, I wouldn't have jumped. I'm in the garden for at least 4-12 more months...
I was contemplating getting the Apple Card for an upcoming purchase of an iMac. Anyway, I put in my info and was denied.
The said my TU score was 733. The denial reasons were "recently past due" and "too many recent applications for credit."
The only baddie on my TU is a paid charged-off credit card from 2017. The inquiries make sense, but I guess GS/Apple just doesn't like to see any negative accounts showing.
Does anyone know how often Goldman updates scores when applying of the card? I buy a lot of apple products for my business and have been getting denied for the card over and over since it came out.
I really don't understand why, I have less than 10% utilization, no late payments for 5 years, quarterly CLI from Capital one, WF even converting my secured card to unsecured and refunding me. I just don't get it...
Thank you for your interest in Apple Card. Goldman Sachs Bank USA has reviewed your application, and it was not approved at this time because: You have recently been past due Goldman Sachs Bank USA received your credit score from TransUnion Consumer Solutions. Your credit score is a number that reflects the information in your consumer report. Your credit score can change, depending on how the information in your consumer report changes. I'm in the same boat. Can get from pretty much every bank card other than them for the same exact denial reason. Recently past due. Have a 6 year old voluntary repo only reporting on TransUnion other than that clean reports with at least 680 score and qualify for all the flagship cards with even synchrony(PayPal MasterCard,Marvel, etc) From everything I have read they don't accept ANY negatives.

Not necessarily. I have baddies on my TU as recently as December 2018 and I was just approved for an Apple Card with $8500 limit and 15.99% APR.
Felipe what negatives do u have and may I ask how old they are and lastly your score at time of approval. Thank u in advance.
