So you all know that I'm not ACTUALLY apping for this card, but every now and then I like to check the Wallet app just to see what GS is offering for Apple Card. When Apple Card first came out, it offered me $3,500 at 26.74 or something like that. It hasn't changed once. My score has gone up considerably and I haven't apped for anything in a year (WHOOOOHOOO) but I still can't get any better offer.
It makes it easy to stay in the Garden though lol
why you hate me, apple
Just a FYI each time you check your apple pre-qual on GS you are getting hit with a chexs inquiry although not a DDI inquiry an inquiry none the less and not sure how that plays out on the whole scheme of things. last time i saw my chexs report i had several inquiries from GS on my checks reports which i found a bit odd.

@CreditCuriosity Interesting. Good to know. I don't check too often--maybe every six weeks or so.
My CL and APR hasn’t budged either with their offer.
No no intention of opening a card with them as the card has no benefit to me but I was also curious.

@pinkandgrey If you've done it every six weeks since August, that's pretty bad for Chex. I'd request a Chexsystem report if I were you, especially if you're planning on opening any DDA accounts in the next year or two.
More than 2-3 inquiries on Chex over the span of 1-2 years can cause major issues with some credit unions, while others may not care.

I'm not planning on doing so any time soon. I will bear all this info in mind, though, and quit with the compulsive checking lol. I'm not too concerned about the Chex thing unless something bad were to happen....

I've never had a problem with a credit union. Small banks though, different story. Anywhere from side eye to No Soup For You.
I've noticed that they pull my CoreLogic every time I app too. I can see it when I pull my full TU report as a supplemental section at the end. Not sure if that's a big deal like Chex, as I'm not nearly as familiar with what the impact of inqs are on the smaller bureaus.
