I started building my credit just 3 short months ago. Now, my wife's computer broke and I am wanting to get her a new one, but I don't have $1500 just lying around to buy her a new one. So I was curious about their financing. I know I can go through PayPal credit or BarClay Visa with Apple Rewards. I am wanting that Barclay card anyways. I don't have a credit score yet, I have a lot of inquiries on my report because of my car loan. However, Credit Karma says I have fair approval odds. Is this accurate?

No, CK is not accurate. It's a marketing tool. If you don't have a credit score yet, you won't get approved with Barclays
But if you got a car loan. you had to do it with a credit score. unless it was a buy here pay here. what is it?

please please please.............take what ck saids with a grain of salt. remember that is your vantage 3.0 score and not a fico score. ck is up and down when they reccomend their cc partner offers. ime they reccomended me cards with bad chances but i got approved for, and with good chances, that i didnt get approved for. you have to make a judgement call and consider what banks look at, like AAoA, inquires, and then your score. Barclay is very iffy on alot of things, as im still waiting for an approval or denial with their apple finaicing and its been a month since i verified myself. if you dont have all your ducks in a row with them, then do not apply and waste a hp. wait to your cr gets strong, so u wont get a denial.

Think of Credit Karma as a credit teacher. It teaches you good habits even if you don't know why the habits are good. I am super thankful for Credit Karma for making me conscious of credit and teaching me the order I had to app for cards in and which were good and which weren't. For score though, don't completely go by it. Ignore the number it gives you but completely pay attention to what it says is causing that score to go up and down because in this, it is accurate.

You don't have to have a credit score to get a car loan, but you do have to prove income elegibility. It was hard to get a loan without a score but not impossible. We had a $2500 downpayment along witth $300 trade in. So we were able to get a car loan, it takes 6 months to generate a credit score, I should have a score come July.
CK shows me with fair approval odds, but if you think I wont get approved what about a recon? Some people get denied, call backdoor numbers and then get approved.

Sad to say I don't think that'll work in your favor. I think you should wait. Which apple product you looking to buy?

A MacBook for my wife. I accidently broke her computer, and I am needing to replace it.
This might sound horrible but I think you should slowly save up to get one. You should look at the refurbished ones from best buy or apple directly, they're usually in very good condition and somewhat cheaper. To get approved for these, especially Barclay, it takes a very above average credit score.
