Can someone give me a rundown on everything they ask for when joining NFCU?
eligibility questions
assets and income
id and proof of address docs?
Just want to be prepared!
Also, when an app asks about "assets" do they mean income in checking and savings only, or is something like 401k eligible to be added?
Lastly, ive read different answers on this but is income stated before or after taxes...I've always listed after taxes being deducted ...is this correct?

I joined NFCU about a month ago. I started with a checking and savings acccount and set it all up over the phone since the closest branch is about an hour away from me. I told them my grandfather had retired from the Navy and asked if they needed anything proving that she told me they have a database they can check to verify although she never asked for his name. I got an email the next day asking me to send verification documents through their website or at a local branch. I scanned my drivers license and a copy of a bank statement and was approved 2 days after that. The day I received my debit card I applied for a CC online and was instantly approved. The whole process was very smooth and easy considering I never had to visit a branch. I was only asked for my annual income on the CC application it never asked about assets. I always list income pretax however I am not entirely sure what the protocol is on that.
This was very helpful thank you! Did they pull TU for you?
