Application applying spree

Hello all,

I am currently doing a credit card applying spree. I just got denied with Chase Ink Business due to my BK. I have been reading all these forums and I was seeing that a lot of people were getting approved. I wonder what happened?

I also just got the Discover It but to my surprise, the limit was only $500 dollars, though I am grateful I was expecting a higher limit. Can anyone give me advice on who will give me CLOC without POI. And also should I go ahead and apply for my second card with Penfed due to them using the same pull for 90 days?

Credit Scores- 692 Transunion/ 682 Equifax/ Experian- unk

Goal scores 750 on all :-)

Bankruptcy CH7  09/2014 Discharged

Current Credit cards- NFCU 24K 8/17, Merrick 200 10/14, Bestbuy Citi 3k 3/17, Penfed Signature 10k 05/18,DiscoverIt 500 5/18

Re: Application applying spree

Can’t help on your other topics but Chase is quite BK unfriendly recently it seems. My app was declined 4/2018 based on a 2010 BK7 despite two recons which resulted in a second HP, they were not IIB. I would sit Chase out for the time being and not waste another HP.

Re: Application applying spree

Your signature shows that you're in with NFCU...try hitting them up for a CLOC.  They approved me for the full $15k with a BK13 reporting.  No POI requested for their card or CLOC.

Thanks! they are requesting a POI. I just don't wanna go through that right now. When I initially got my credit card they didn't ask for anything. They just turn me down for business credit so I'm kinda at a standstill with them. I just started my business and purchased a house so I need guaranteed approvals. Smiley Sad

Re: Application applying spree

Chase may not be BK friendly, but people with BKs have gotten them....heck, even people who included Chase in BK have gotten them(I intend to join that club, probably soon if I can get the courage).  Who can forget Pizza1's tale of the epic recon call?  OP, have you tried to do a recon call with them?

It used to be easier. More recently, bankruptcies have been automatic denials with a remote chance of being approved on recon.

+1. That UW internal policy has shifted for Chase, and as long as BK is present, they will stand by the original declined decision.

@Anonymous, why not provide POI to NFCU? I mean, since you already have an existing relationship with them.
