Applications for Synchrony Bank

After years of messing my credit up because well i didnt think i needed any i finally straightend it out opening my first card with Cap 1 for $300 now ive found that Synch bank is very generous and willing to work with people new to clean credit. I have opened several cards with great CL and my CS has increased over 100 points from mid 400's to high 700's they are great to work with and very polite. i decided to become a paid member to myfico because credit karma is never right. they are way off on scores and approval odds. I have wasted so many hard inq using there approval odds.  Sure their accurate with reporting new credit and hard inq but thats it.  My question is are there any banks with the same credit critera as synch that help rebulinding and new credit.  Barclays has denied me twice and chase amex and citi are way out of me leauge. Thanks for the advice

Have you ever thought about the shopping cart trick with the Sportsman's Guide Visa?  Clear out your cookies (browsing history), go to their site, place a good amount in the shopping cart, see if you get the popup once you enter in your personal info., then delete the merchandise in the cart if you get the approval.

Credit Karma isn't good at reporting new accounts either, btw.

With scores in the high 700's amex & chase would be in your league unless your accts. are brand new or if you have leins, collections etc. on your reports. Mid 400's to high 700's is way more then 100 pts. Just sayin. Congrats on the rebuilding!

Do you have any baddies within the last two years or unpaid baddies reporting?  If not, with scores in high 700's, I would try Discover.  They generally seem to like people with not a lot of available credit (I was one of them).

Re: Applications for Synchrony Bank

i have zero baddies no late or missed payements but i have short credit history and way more inq then i should i got a letter from staples because i buy a lot there they denied me simply for having to many inq chase has denied me for freedom card and so has amex everyday card currently i have amazon store card 2100 cap1 QS 1300 Cap 1 platinum 500 credit 1 600 walmart master card 1600 lowes stroe card 1300 ebay mastercard 250 belk store card 450 low utiliz @13% but still getting denied the whole credit system confuses me and i already know i have to many hard hits but im eager to reestablish good credit the only banks willing to take a chance are synchrony and cap 1 and im scared to ask for increases for fear of them decreasing my limits and causing my utiliz to increase

Re: Applications for Synchrony Bank

let me rephrase that not all scores are in 700's ex 684 tu 733 eq 674 thats according to myfico CK has me in low 600's and is not reporting most of my cards and actually has one account closed called amazon to confirm and account is open used so many inq because of their approval odds thats why i decided to pay for myfico sometimes free isnt always better

Re: Applications for Synchrony Bank

Have you tried the luv button on your Lowes card?  That would help.  Sounds like you have enough cards to make your scores go up.  Might want to garden and not get yourself right back into trouble again.

Re: Applications for Synchrony Bank

i actually tried that yesterday because in the process of building a garage got a message saying cannot be done online not sure what that means and yes i agree i need to lay off i guess i just got over excited when i started getting approval after approval it can be sorta addicting after years of getting denial lettters to see congradulations your approved in less than 60 seconds can be a thrill to someone like me
