I wish I'd known about this card before; it sounds like a good one for someone with a chapter 7 BK (that's 4 years old now from date of filing) to apply to, and I found the charities I like in their list of available nonprofits. Since I currently have 22 INQ's on my report over three agencies and I'm in the garden, I think I'll have to wait until they start dropping off completely over the winter/early spring. Also, I'm not sure what kind of SL I could get with a 665 TU; it's frustrating that most banks seem to prefer to pull that when my EQ and EX are 20-30 points higher. Anyway, keep us posted!
I looked at the Charity Charge application yesterday and filled it out to see how it went (though I didn't actually submit it). One interesting thing I noted is that they ask you up front if you've declared a bankruptcy anytime in the past ten years. I can't think of many other issuers off the top of my head that've done that, at least not any I've applied to in the past couple of years since starting my rebuild. Since Commerce is supposed to be BK-friendly, I note that as a point of interest.
Also, I seem to remember reading a post here while looking for information on the card yesterday where someone got approved for Charity Charge with a TU of 620. Something else to keep in mind, though I've also read that Commerce seems to draw EX in most of the country (good for me since EX is my best score). You may also want to keep in mind that Commerce seems to be a touch inquiry-sensitive if you have a lot of inquiries on your report - one person who applied via phone reported that the Commerce customer service rep sounded startled, and rather worried, when she saw 31 inquiries on the applicant's report. (I think that was 31 INQ's on the report they pulled, not across all CRA's; if they were to pull EX for me, I'd be in good shape because I only have 4 inquiries on that report and at least half of them are a year old or more.)

I just applied for a Charity Charge with Commerce Bank after reading some reviews saying that they are a friendly bank with higher SL and are bankruptcy friendly ( i dont have bankruptcy but i have one derog- its not mine so im not paying just waiting for it to age off) anyways... And hoping to turn it into an approval...
I applied for a disney card after reading it wasnt included in the chade 5/24 rule anx my scores now up in 679 on TU, i dont have too many Ins and some are aging off anyways so I figured wth... Anyways, got denied!!! :-( again........ Okayyyy so i guess im just waiting for a few years with chase....
So I know Im not the only one with a strike while the irons hot mentality when it comes to ccapps- as I see people on here saying they've been taking advantage of applying for Barclays Apple before it gets switched over to Goldman Sachs,
So since Im totally of that thinking when it comes to ccs- ive been on here trying to sift through reviews of Wells Fargo CCs wondering if its a good time to milk them for some credit- wondering if people are getting approved easier right now, but cant really tell a trend. Any thoughts?
just came across this thread. I app'd for the card a while back and almost fell over when i saw the credit limit, its still my highest SL. I had 1 30 late on my EQ report, which they pulled. My score at the time was around 670 if memory serves. i had a ton of inquiries. it went pending and they didnt pull my report till a few days later, but i got an email saying congrats, yada yada, we are building your card or something, but over all, it has been a good card, i have not had any problems.
