Still wouldnt hurt to call. I had a verification issue that popped up so when I called back the next day, they told me I was approved and what my limit is.

Yeah I plan to call tomorrow. Would be nice if they show up in a new m3 take me for a ride around the block before handing me a new card(if I get it). They def seem the slowest when it comes to finding out anything whether approval or denial.

Called bmw. Turns out I was approved for 1k so I'll take it. Said I should get the card in around 10 business days. They def arent fast but no big deal. By the time I get the card with prob be a month after applying but I'm happy

looks like I have to send in some address verification stuff. that is fine should only take a few mintues to mail some stuff off.

They seem more strict than most banks but called them again after getting a letter and I am definitely approved. they said the low limit was due to too many inquiries. If I pay on time and dont get anymore cards they said it shouldnt be a problem getting an increase after a while. I can live with that

Also, the address verification is due to my reports having a po box listed as an address(It was accurate) but it raised a red flag. My home address is on there too but the rep I spoke with said a lot of people try to pull fraud type stuff with po boxes so it was an instant red flag.

The ironic thing is I have to send address verification to their po box in utah

Either way the lady was very nice so I have no issues with it. I also told the lady I slipped a paystub in there(I did) so maybe we can discuss a limit increase.

Officially got the card in hand so everything is good, their customer service has been very pleasant and seemed to be us based.

Has anyone utilized the zero percent offer? I'm curious how carrying a balance influences credit limit increases down the road with bmw? I know with amex they cited payments with them as being a denial reason for increases.

Glad to have the card, they've declined me twice before but after having a lease with them a while back that was paid on time helped a lot I'm sure. Also, they upped my original approval amount to 10k after I sent some docs in.

It is far easier to get a car from BFS than it is to get a credit card from BMW North America Bank. I have financed 3 cars through BMW, always qualified with their best rate and only last year finally got them to say yes on a credit card (reject twice). I only wanted the card at this point in my life because they said no to me. Good luck and I hope you have better fortune than I did.
