I told the rep $500 is great, I greatly appreciate the "foot in the door".

My wife applied for the Chase Amazon Visa (against my wishes, but she couldn't resist the $30 bonus)  on 6/5 and got the 30 day message. The next morning, 6/6, she got a email saying she was approved for $500. No phone calls, no verification.

Congrats!  Even when I spoke with the rep today, she stated the faxed copy of my dl still had been uploaded into the system, but since she saw that I had called several times to check status, she said she would go ahead and look over my app while I was on the phone with her.  Great customer service!

I too just called that number you listed, spoke with a rep, spent about 15 minutes on the phone with her due to some verification/security questions.  After those quesitons and a few times of being placed on hold, she said "Congratualtions and Welcome to Chase, you have been approved!"

Due to my credit report, my initial starting limit is $500, but I AM OK WITH THAT!!!!  I love to watch it grow!

Now, once I get that CreditOne card in the mail that's been taking over 2 weeks to arrive, I WILL NOT ACTIVATE IT!!!!

Congratulations sweetie, I'm so happy for you! Trust me, manage this card well and Chase will reward you. This time last year their "NO" was so loud I could hear it through my denial letter lol. Today I have 5 Chase accounts, $10k, $10k, $7k, $6k and $4.5k. They have been quite generous to me!
