Hello,
I have been rebuilding my credit and have finally gotten it back into the 600's (according to Fico 8 I'm at 614 for all three). I have been using my quicksilver 1 heavy the last 3-4 months spending 2k-5k, and paying it in full. The QS1 credit limit is currently at 2k. I decided to see if I could pre-qualify for an auto loan with capital one and they pre-qualifed me up to 50k after I sent proof of income. I decided to see if I pre qualify for any new cards with capital one on their website and got
"Well done, Abel!
Your credit qualifies you for multiple cards."
The card shown was Capital One's Quicksilver for Good Credit and it states the offer is not eligble for the bonus cash nor the 0% intro APR.
How reliable is capital ones credit card prequalify website? Should I jump the gun?
from what I have seen it's pretty reliable.

Its pretty reliable although there is no promises of approval. I would probably see if you can convert your QS1 to QS via product change. Unlikely to happen with QS1 but doesnt hurt to try though.

Cap One cards grow to slow. It take forever just to get any good CLI. And when they give you one its like 500-1000k. I'd save my hard pull for another card that at least grows.
If they are saying they won't give you the bonus or the promo APR then I don't think you'll be getting a good spending limit either. If they were really giving you the QS for good credit you'd get those other goodies too. I could be wrong but I'd wait. They will triple pull you . I'd wait for a better offer.

I had single cli as high as $9k each.
OP - Cap One prequal has been very reliable in the past.

Just one datapoint; last December I was given the same offer for a full Quicksilver, no bonus or 0% APR, but a fee free Quicksilver World MasterCard none-the-less; I took the bait and was approved for a $3,000 SL.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
Did Capital One change their pre-qualify page? I could've sworn it looked different when you got pre-qualifed for a card? Also I requested a CLI on my QS1 and noticed they pulled an equifax score of from like April 27th. If I applied I am assuming they would pull a more recent score?
I jumped the gun and got approved with 612 scores. Credit limit is no where near what I wanted at 300 SL but at least no anual fee. Will probably combine the QS1 with the QS. Hoping the new QS card is not bucketed.
