Apply for c/c to transfer for lower rate

Hi All,

Husband has c/c with high interest rates and would like to get a lower interest. He received a app for Discover IT with 0 apr for 1 yr, his credit score with EX is 717.. We are not late on any of his 4 cards he currently got all within the last year.  He owes Captiol 1 $300.00 and Care Credit $650.00 both with interest rate of 22%. At this time we are not able to make additional payments because I am not working. Since he has gotten 4 cards within a short amount of time should he even try for another at this time? Also, we are looking to buying a house at the beginning of next year will applying for another card be a problem with getting a loan for a house?

Re: Apply for c/c to transfer for lower rate

If your going for a house, it would be best to try and hold off pn applying for anything. Yes it sucks paying interest, but those 2 balances combined will roughly be about $22 a month in interest. Thats for both debts combined. So its not too bad, just try to pay off as much as possible. I say its not that bad because for a house, getting a better rate can save you tons over the years.

Thank you for the advice, it is greatly appreciated. I will definitely hold off applying for any more cards.
