Multiple 50K offers would be very boss.

I am hoping 50k personal and business cards are in my future thats probably the only card i would leave the garden for. Alaska Air miles are worth an lot even more than AA miles to me :-) Access to Korean and cathay is so huge for me. I know it may not be as an big of an deal for other people.

I was wondering, those of you that might have 2 Barclay US Air cards, how long after getting your first did you apply for a second card?

Can you have 2 open cards or do you hav eto close one first before you apply for a 2nd one?

You can get two barclaycards if you managed to get auto-approved. If you have a lot of inquiries, new barclaycard accounts, a lot of new accounts, or a threshold file, they might send you to manual review. Manual review or recon will almost always fail if you already have the card. People get 2 cards by usually waiting at least 3 months from their last application and keeping applications to a minimum about 6 months before the application to make the chance of an automatic computer based approval higher. While I don't know if this particular card allows two, most barclaycards do.

However, why do you want two cards? This is not a card with maximum spends in specific categories. If you are doing it for a sign-up bonus, it probably is not worth it. Most companies have a 12-24 month lockout on getting a second bonus for the same card. The lockout usually begins on the day the original card was closed. I don't know if Barclays specifically has a lockout because I have not yet churned any of their cards, but most other companies do.

Getting two 50k signup bonuses i would assume would be the reason. Getting them converted to AA could make it them quite valuable imo. There are some good deals to be had with AA miles. I think they are undervalued by an lot of people, when compared to UR or MR and points with multiple partners.

I doubt they will allow 2 sign-up bonuses back to back. Most have a lockout as I mentioned in my earlier post. I would be very surprised if Barclays did not have some sort of lockout for bonuses.

I do 100% agree that AA miles are very valuable. I won't quite value them like UR or MR points, but they are pretty close. With recent changes, AA is worth more than United now which is big. Well maybe not for me since I still have elite status and United hubs are more convenient for me (EWR and SFO). But from a reward usage perspective, AA miles are one of the best.

Some people get a 2nd US Air card after 12 months. Unfortunately I'm not one of those people. It's ymmv, you never know until you try.
