Re: Applying for Amex incognito

Everytime I try I am asked to log in.

Then you're not doing it right. Don't do the pre-qual...Open an incognito window, pick your card, hit apply, and then open another tab to login, go back to the other one and hit refresh for the short form, hit submit.

This still doesn’t work. At least for me. When I tried it and hit refresh on the first screen the increased SUB was “no longer available” and I was back to the 35k public offer.

Re: Applying for Amex incognito

You don’t get a HP with incognito app if you’re a member. Doc has some detailed methods for getting the top bonuses.

Open an incognito window

Open the amex website and view the card you want...it should have the increased bonus

Hit apply to lock in the increased bonus

Open another tab to login  (or skip this step and fill out the full form / system will match to your existing info)

Go back and hit refresh to get the short form / hit submit

Interesting. What if you are not a current member (i have a card with amex over 10 years ago. closed in good standing but nothing current)? Will it be a HP?

HP is you're not an existing customer.  Previous relationship doesn't work for a SP.  The reason you get a SP is because they're pulling your info at least once a month for card maintenance.

Re: Applying for Amex incognito

You should always assume you are gonna risk a hard pull for any application. Even if AMEX is gracious to give a SP in the process.

I apped for the Delta Gold Card after having my Gold card for two months. No other history with AMEX. They didn’t HP for it. I apped through incognito for a 50K SkyMiles for 1K spend. I received that value without any trouble.
