Applying for Amex plan

Hey everyone,

So I've always really wanted an amex, and I've researched them and I think the BCE card would be a good fit for my spending needs, to replace my quicksilver card from capital one. I have four baddies from 2009 they are all student loan accounts that were past due, but since then I've had nothing but positive tradlines on my account, aside from a 30 day late back in 2012. My experian 656 my transunion is 660 and my equifax is 649

My question is I just was approved for a venture card for 10k should i garden that card for 6 months and then apply, what are my chances if i apply now? I don't need a high SL because i know I can 3x CLI in the furture, i just want to get my foot in the door. My current cards are QS -3K QS1 1.2K Partners FCU- 2k

Thanks Guys.

I think you are borderline as far as FICO goes. While there have been approvals at lower scores, you may want to leyt your score cross into 670+ on EX. It will be safe to say that you will have better chances at that FICO range. Lets wait what other say..

Although the mainstream experience is indicative of certain success, it, however, paints an ambiguos profile meaning that alot of file-specific information is not present and it cannot be one-size-fit all. You may want to let your score boost some more points so that you can secure higher probability of success. But we shall see what other have to say

Like Fred, I will wait for others to respond however, I would wait 6 mos. between every app unless your scores are 766+ (or about there overall). BCE is however somewhat more lenient and forgiving than other Amex cards to get but you did just get Venture and I have not a clue on how Amex looks at one who just got another card, I'm not familiar enough on the subject. Good thinking and hello again Fred.
