Applying for GM Card after IIB

Hi guys,

I just bought a 2024 Cadillac XT4 to be delivered sometime next week.  I used to have a GM card until I filled BK7 in 2012; I burned then for just over 3K.  It was issued by HSBC when I applied for it in 2003.  I think Capital One took it over after my 2012 BK7 because I've never had a relationship with Cap1 prior to my BK7.

I've never done business with Goldman Sach.  I know they did not take over until 2022.  Would they have a record that I owned a GM card 20 years ago and IIB in 2012?  I would like to apply for the card again now that I am back owning a GM car.

I'd be surprised if they had record of it but don't they have a SP approval process.. I would imagine if there's an issue you'd know it without taking a HP.

GS owns it now and has a pre-approval so likely would get it if your profile / scores are decent

I applied and got we need to further review your application.  I have my credit reports frozen except for Transunion. I am told that is who they will pulled.  We'll see what happens.  I have credit card scores in the mid 800's.

Nice wheels, just go to pre approval page and it will most likely approve you with the credit limit listed before you accept.

I just received a call from Goldman Sachs.  They wanted to make sure I applied for the card.  Less than 15 minutes later, I was approved for $6,000.  It's nice to have my GM Card back after all these years.
