Has anyone ever had an issues where you apply for a Neiman Marcus card, get approved, then you over to apply for the Saks Fifth Avenue card and get declined for the sole reason of : We are unable to process your application since we have another application in the system currently processing"
can't find anyone at Capital One to help. Get different answers with each person I speak with.Does anyone have a contact at Saks where I can communicate and get some responses from people who know what they are taking about?
Generally Capital 1 will only approve 1 card every 6 months.
Are the people from Capital One telling you that it's because you have to wait 6 months after your Neiman approval to reset eligibility for another Capital One card?
During my phone calls to Capital One, I did have one person tell me that I would have to wait 6 month. I had another person tell me that Capital One only offers two accounts at a time. So since I already have a Capital One Mastercard and now a Neiman Marcus card, I would not be eligible to get a Saks card unless I close one of my existing accounts. I also had one agent tell me that I should reapply in 90 days.
Everytime I call Capital One I get a difference story. If would be great if I could get someone who knows what they are talking about at Capital One to give me the correct t answer (whatever that might be)
You shouldn't expect to have any better luck reaching out to someone at Saks as they're just a co-branding partner.
I'm not that surprised that you get different answers given that the actual policy is poorly understood in the general population.
I'm not an authority, but as I understand it:
Capital One will not approve an additional card until at least 6 months have passed since their last approval.
Capital One will only approve an applicant for 2 of their core cards (e.g. Platinum/Venture/Quicksilver variants)
Capital One will approve up to 5 cards if their co-branded cards (Walmart, Bass Pro, etc.) are part of the mix.
