For anyone who applied to this card, did you get an instant approval or did you have to do some recon to check the status of your app? Site was acting funny and frozed up when I applied and then when I tried it again it said that it needs to look at the application further. I know that I might not get approved like I did with the Chase FU card two weeks ago but I wanted to at least try to get a 2nd card.

Paypal Extra MC is issued through Synchrony bank, they do not typically do recon and further review pretty much means a denial. I would try joining a reputable credit union like Navy Federal or Alliant and applying for one of their products they may approve you. Cheers.

Well, at least I'll know why it was denied and that'll give me an idea on what the work on for the next six months. Was going to apply for the Chase Amazon card directly at the bank like I did with the FU card but decided with Paypal instead. Probably would have had a better chance with the Amazon card. Maybe it's better for me to wait. It's only my 2nd inq. since spring 2014
When I applied I got a message to call because they couldn't complete my request. I called and was approved for $500 SL.
If those are your current scores, don't bother trying to get in with Synchrony right now. They're typically looking for 680-700 TU for their Visa and MasterCard offerings.
If if you're looking for a second card, check the Capital one prequalifier. You might be able to get a no-AF Platinum or Quicksilver.
Paypal is easy to get. Sometimes it even pushes to you.

I was approved for their extras MasterCard last month.. one year post BK with a $300 SL.. weird coz I don't see smartconnect anywhere on the application ... did they discontinue that? I burned them for $800 on my bK7... currently have Amazon $800, Walmart $900 and PayPal extras MasterCard $300 .. I burned all three ... burned synchrony for almost $18000 ...
Hey, you are so cool now after burning all the junkies.
