Applying for Venture One

I already have a capital one secured card ($500) and a platinum card that I PC'd to Quicksilver ($2000). All 3 of my other card limits are over $5000 each. My scores are 720 EX, 721 EQ, 695 TU. Will I be able to get a 3rd card with them or will I automatically be denied because I have 2 other cards with them?

Re: Applying for Venture One

You van have up to 5 cards with Cap One and not more than 2 of those can be subprime cards (QS1, Platinum, etc). If you look into the terms of the Venture One and approval guidelines they will habe listed howany other cards you can have of that type.

Pretty sure the Venture 1 is of the 5 card group.

Although, honestly, I would go for the regular quicksilver over the venture 1. 1.5% redeemable for anything vs 1.25% redeemable for travel only. Or go for the regular venture.

You CAN have two QS cards.

Did you try the prequal?

I like the idea of going for the QS instead.

Re: Applying for Venture One

Thanks for the reply. I can't ever get anything to come up on their prequal site. Not even the cards I have now. But I will look into the Quicksilver instead.

Capital One doesn't unsecure their cards Smiley Sad You can only cancel and get your deposit back.

Oh wow, thats dumb. Either way, call Penfed. Best CU IMHO around, escpecially if you are not prior military, and most will say even if you are.

Re: Applying for Venture One

I will do that. I plan on possibly refinancing my car loan with them in the next few months.
