Approval amount reduced?

Hi all,
Applied for PayPal MasterCard and was approved for $500. Within 24 hours they reduced it to $250. This ever happen to anyone else?

Now that's a new one on me! I wonder if it's all a part of the strangeness that has been going on with Synchrony Bank lately.....?

I called and that's what the automated system told me. I will wait for the actual card to come in the mail and post an update.

This happened to my younger sister who was approved for Discover It card at 4k. When they sent her the card, it was lower to $500. She was shocked.

That's a huge decrease!!! I definitely need to wait for the card because my confusion is worse. I was told I was getting a MasterCard and the line of credit shows up on my report as $500 but when I call it says $250. I log in to PayPal and see nothing at all and no link for a MasterCard
