Hi, I have posted another thread asking about the approval odds for Chase Sapphire Reserved a while ago. Based on the responses, I decided not to risk it. I have now decided to apply for CSP but would like to get your opinions first. Here're some basic information of my accounts. My current accounts: BoA Cash Rewards $3000 CL Citi AAdvantage $3900 CL. I just closed Capital One QuicksilverOne few hours ago, which had $3000 CL. My credit history is 1 year 6 months. No baddies or any negative things on my report. TU 768 EQ 767. Ultilization is 0%. All the information is based on Credit Karma. I checked on Chase's pre-qualification site and have no pre-qualified offers (I've been doing this for a long time and they just never give me any pre-qualify offer on their site). However, I have recived pre-qualified offers of Chase Freedom few times through mail. One thing I'd like to mention is that on my Credit report, it shows there're 5 accounts in total. 3 accounts are directly from my credit cards, 2 are from being added as an authorized user on my hubby's account. Those all happened within the past two years. BUT, when I went to check the details, one card I was added as an authorized user shows it was opened Oct, 2013. I believe this was the time my hubby opened his account, but I was added as an AU last year. I'm not sure if this would make me exclude from the 5/24 rule or not. Would like to get your insights since I really want to get the Sapphire card. Also, does CSP gives out a high CL? Any advices is appreciated!
You need to get your FICO scores. Those CK scores aren't very meaningful.
Do a Google search for "credit pulls database" and type in the name of the card and you'll see the scores and some profile data for those that were approved and denied for the card. With that information under your belt you'll be able to make the best possible decision.
That usually don't like to be your first large limit card. From what I heard.
They were my second.
Ymmv. But I've never been afraid to app. 😋
Thanks for your advices! I just applied and got the 30 day message. Fingers crossed!
Are you getting the 30 day message when you call the app status line?
Good luck.

Did you take any of the advice and pull your FICO scores and/or check the credit pulls database to see what scores people have been getting approved/denied with?
And yes, good luck.

Yes, I first got the 30 day message through email. Then I called the automatic line and the robot also told me the same. Woke up this morning and checked it again, I was approved!

I did went to the Credit Pull Database to look up some info, it seems like there're much more people getting approved than denied for this card. Not sure if it's because this is a reletively easy card to get. I was approved when I called the automatic line this morning. I'm pretty happy with it consider this is my first Chase card. Not sure what my CL is tho.
Congratulations. You should be able to call Chase customer service and ask for CL and APR. You might be able to get it expedited even if it's your first Chase card.
Welcome to the Chase club

Thank you so much! I'm truely happy now. I just checked and was told my CL was $17400 with a 16.74% APR. Wow, Chase has been really kind to me! It was an auto system telling me this information tho. Should I speak to a cutomer representative to ask about the expediation?
