Honestly secured card is probably your only option right now. Besides of course subprime predatory lenders such as CreditOne and FirstPremier; but I would NEVER recommend applying for those. You could also try for an OpenSky card; no credit check to get it.

In response to sgs71, I would have been declined for the PRG, gold or platinum.  They do have the same underwriting criteria but not for someone with one month of credit history.  I applied over the phone and I feel they take into account other things than just your credit file if you are a first time applicant; what job you do or what school you go to, how much is your bank balance etc. but I could be wrong.
