I am not apping, just have a question that has been bugging me. If I applied for a Discover IT and got denied in September 2015 for too many inquiries, bad debt CO (6 years old) and late payments (Over 2 years ago) with a FICO of 639 in December and then my score goes up to say 730 3 months later and I get the red discover with the 3% range on the website or I get a mailer, will they still deny for the inquiries and such or does a good CS get you in? In other words, is there a set score that guarantees approval? I am more interested in the process behind the approval chances.
Honestly, from what I've read on here, there's no set score range/length of time since baddies/income/AoAA/Inquiry # that guarantees Discover approval.
I've seen people on here with 580 credit scores get approved, while 700+ with a clean report get declined.
Discover is quite fickle.
Ok. Well if I get a letter or the red card this early surely it will still be there when I get out of the garden when my credit is even better.
