Approved for Marvel.. but how much???

Congratulations! You have been approved for a Marvel MasterCard®.

Your new card should arrive in the mail within 7 to 10 days. Upon receipt, be sure to sign and activate the card.

So... are they going to tell me how much I was approved for and at what rate (although honestly, I don't care about rates isnce I don't carry balance... pure curiosity)???

Re: Approved for Marvel.. but how much???

never mind... I signed up for account and now I can see that I got $6k... still can't find APR anywhere though...

so now the question is... if I got $6k SL... how much can I ask for if I call their number? $15k?

You can ask for 35k, they will counter offer with less, probably 15-20k for you given that SL.

bizarre... I got $6k SL and 20.xx% APR but when I called them to ask for $25k they only gave me $10k and said they'll mail me a letter why... my highest limit is $10k on QS... maybe that's why? or it's my 3rd card in a month?

I don't think it's related to the cards - probably just how they are viewing your overall profile. They initially gave me 1500, I asked for 25k on recon and they bumped it up to 10k.

As you can see I have no other cards that high (CSP was approved at 9k but they forced me to split it in order to open FU at the same time) so my next highest limit is only 6k right now.

yea that's when I thought when I sat down and really pondered about this... my hgihest limit of a single card is $5k... (at least that is reporting)... the three cards that report for me now have 1.5, 3 and 5k limits... that's probably why they didn't give me more... likely not history with higher limits... I've had a 10k CapOne QS for about a month now but it hasn't started reporting yet... maybe I'll give them another call once QS starts posting... overall... my entire "reporting" limit combined is 9.5k... I can see hwo they don't want to go much above that on one card...

PS do you know is SyncB is always a SP CLI request?

usually, but not always. i have seen a few threads here from people who ended up getting an HP for their CLI requests. Not sure if it's related to which card though. Perhaps someone with more Synchrony experience could chime in?

Re: Approved for Marvel.. but how much???

Just received my Marvel card today. I applied day one was given approval for $6,000. Called to recon and asked for $25,000 and it was granted (I have cards from 2K to 30K). Got in touch with a CSR to check on interest and it is 15.24%.

As a point I have a Synchrony Amazon at $6K (not sure if that is why they gave me $6K initially?) and a Lowes at $25K.  Guess I should see about increasing the Amazon closer to Christmas.

When I was talking to the rep about the Amazon increase I asked about the SP versus HP. He stated that they can no longer tell you it is a SP as it COULD be a HP. Most people are still having SP CLIs.
