I starting looking at credit cards in the past 6 months and not knowing that a visa signature card had a min CL of around $5000 my family told me to apply for the Amazon card since I shop on Amazon a lot. Of course I got denided since the only history I had 4 months ago was my car loan which was just a year old. Since then I have gotten the Discover student card with a CL of $1500 in June and the Uber card from Barcalys with a CL of $1400 in August.
I want to know what steps in should take inorder to have a chance of getting appoved for the Amazon Prime card. Do I need to apply for a freedom first if so when should that be? I pay my balance in full every month and the 4 months I had a credit card my highest ultization was 5%. My Fico score with Transunion is 718, my Vanage scores are Transunion and Equalfax is 677.
I was in that exact same situation LOL. That was the first card I applied for (stupid me) and of course was denied. However, I was able to get approved for it only about 6 months later. Just manage your current cards responsibly and you'll be good to go.
Did you get the freedom card as your first card? Do they care?

Chase really likes to see that your oldest card is at least a year old. You need to be the primary user on that card, not an AU (authorized user).
It also helps to have a period of gardening (not applying for anything) as they're sensitive to new accounts. Three months is good; six months is better.
The other thing they don't like to see is too many recently opened cards.
In your case, your oldest card will be a year old in June. If you apply in July, your two cards and the loan should be plenty to get you the Amazon card. Optionally, you could grab one more card between now in then, possibly around January.
