how did you do this? I am having something similar happening to me.
I was preapproved for penfed pcr for 5k @16.99(now 15.49) apr in April 2020.
and in November I asked for an increase in the thread below and got 20k increase to 25k
and now I see this.
I click the pcr and it doesn't say anything about cli but offers a new card at a lower rate 13.99 . I want to add the extra limit just cause it's there but I don't want to add another account. I'm walking a fine line right now to get to 1/12 and 4/24 next year. Please help!
Congrats on your offer! Unless the process has changed over the last several months, if you select an offer for an existing card, as you move through the prompts it should allow you to choose between a new card or CLI.
Your other option is to call them to accept the offer and request a cli instead of a new card.
Thanks @thornback. I was looking for my post. I had post it in @Aim_High 's thread and it disappeared. The 2nd page asked for authorization for credit so I thought it was going to be another card. I see after that page it shows what you posted below. Thanks!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, @Anonymous, and thanks for answering @thornback.
My offer page was a little different. It specifically said "If you have an existing PenFed Credit card you can increase your credit limit."
But now for the tricky part. Getting the limit. PenFed used to allow one card to go to $50K. Earlier this year, the policy changed to $25K per card. The problem earlier in the spring/summer was that we had several My Fico members including myself who were offered the higher limits but then the new credit didn't show up on our accounts. They tried to brush it off and blame it on a conflict between their "old" and "new" automated system. Basically, the "old" system was still making offers that weren't in line with the new policy. It took me a few months and multiple phone calls to not only Customer Service reps, but elevating to Customer Service Supervisors and even a Manager before I got it reinstated. (I had a hard pull from $15K to $25K and then they offered my an additional $16.7K like your offer. I eventually got it added to my PCR so it sits at $41.7K now.)
At this point, they may not allow you to put that $13K on the established card (since you're already at $25K on it.) You may have to take it on a new card. But I would still try if that's what you want to do! It can't hurt. Good luck and let us know how it turns out!
*This was what my page looked like>
@Aim_High I decided not to pull the trigger. I saw I got the lowest apr for the penfed promise and hoping it's still there September 2021. So the offers are just sitting there haunting me.
I saw your post, I had this post attached to it. But it got separated and created a new post and they locked your thread.
So for sake of clarity, all offers on the Penfed page are soft pulls, and the new algorithm doesn't allow for a card over 25K. Even if you call in and want it as a CLI they will tell you the limit, but still not a hard pull.
I done one in April for the card and one today for cli and all soft pulls under the my offers section for preapproval.
As the OP has been approved for their CLI, this thread is now locked to new messages.
