HI all-
A little advise please. I applied for the JetBlue Plus card. The verification team got me; they requested DL, SS card & ulit bill. I sent DL, US Passport, SSC & cable bill. Only to later be told, a cable bill is insufficient (not a real utility)-send your bank statement. Which I sent (arrived to PO box today). I already hold the Priceline card (issued by Barclay) never had an issue or fraud claim.
I am only really being annoying because I leaving for vacation next week & booked through JetBlue. JetBlue told me I can change the payment method only to a Jetblue card. The Plus card qualifies me for 1 free checked bag (2 of us travelling) & 50% off in flight purchases (travelling with minions).
I called the security department, explained the situation & they said there was still nothing they could do to expedite the processing. Just have to send the docs & wait in the que.
My question: Should I contact the underwriting department? Is there anything underwriting can do?

oh my, the dreaded Barclay's Verification.....noone like to get them, because they can keep you in limbo for weeks!!! I personally would suggest calling into UW, and see if they can speed it along. Tell them you already have Priceline, so whats the hold up? ![]()
UW usually can't do anything about this as I was hit by it as well recently... Although I was given a number(Security/Verification dept.) by UW that I called on weekdays only that asked me a few questions and approved me instantly.. Although my scenario isn't as pleaseant either as they didn't request all the stuff they requested from you.. Most likely stories like this result in two week to a month of crud from barclay's.. I called the credit analyst the transferred me to security. I spoke with a wonderful lady, she was very patient & I explained to her why I was being a nuisance. She told me they could not verify my address in any of their databases and that once the receive and process my bank statement I should be fine. They will be able to overnight the card to me. She gave me my SL (9K) too. She actually provided the most information I have recieved from anyone in the security thus far.
I went through this samething when I was approved for the Venture One card; however, the documents were uploaded and led to faster turn around and greater sense of security.
Fingers crossed this will be over soon.

I always call in. I dont wait it out, because if its held up for something stupid like verifcation, I tell them you were able to pull my TU report werent you? Im not patient, I call in immediately to credit and 9/10 it was just extra verifcation like...."we need to send a text to you phone with a code on it". LOL...um, ok do it! ![]()
