@randomguy1 wrote:Aim, ironically I tried preapprovals today. Since I am in the middle of a mortgage, I tried a few different lenders for the best rate. They denied me for inquiries as well. I am 1/12 in new accounts (0/12 in November).
That is kind of a bummer to hear, I was thinking maybe I could slip the card in after we close but before the mortgage hits my report, if they are inquiry senstive sounds like I will have to wait a year after we close and then get it.
Good DPs yet you never know for sure.
With EX, my inq's are 1/6 and 8/12, and new accounts are 5/6 (will drop to 1/6 throughout the next 5 weeks) and LOL/12
I just did the prequal with BBVA and got this:
Not the greatest of SLs yet very happy for the Preapproval. Definitely not going to continuing getting it though.
Hope this helps others that are on the fence.
Many are complaining, while the pre-approval shows a set SCL, when you app, it just "Spins" and comes up with an error.
I figured I'd try just for science. Not sure what to make of this haha.

You have to go right to the card you want.

Thanks @Anonymous. Interesting additional direct links.
However, the link I referenced in posting one of the thread took me to the page below and I selected one of two cards on the follow-on pages after I hit the "Continue" button. Not sure why it didn't work for @recoveringfrombk7??

Didn't work for me either when I tried it which is when I dug up those links.
Thanks @Anonymous ![]()
Did the clear points
No cards at this time, reason given: too many inquiries.
Ex09 694, VS 699
5/12 and 14/24, so no real surprise

Have you tried it recently? They updated it in the last month or so to open prequals up to everyone. It used to be limited just to AL and TX.
