Re: BBVA

@coldfusion

im wondering if it is a glitch because on other pages it says the card is only available in blah blah states (not mine) - and also the prequal links I used today were new appearances on a google search.

perhaps they are expanding though due to their partnership with google...

It wouldn't be the first time that someone put a change in place without it being coordinated with a big marketing push or a sitewide update of documentation.

Re: BBVA

Yep, green in CO too. Used to error immediately that the product was not available here.

My reports are frozen though so I'm not going to run the check (too much of a hassle to lift it on Experian and I am sticking to my garden goal) but if anyone else wants to check, https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal

Previously only worked for TX and AL.

Re: BBVA

For some reason when I ever try that link it errors out - it pulls up a screen that says pick a card that is blank ----it only has actually prequalified me if I do the link that is specific to the rewards or specific to the clear points.

I found the direct links to them.

ClearPoints - https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal?productid=0003

BBVA Rewards - https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal?productid=0005

I ran through it to see what would happen and you're right, the main one that checks both brought me to a selection page that went nowhere. I went through the process for BBVA Rewards and it came back and said they couldn't offer me anything because I have a freeze and then they referenced Experian.

Since I have gone so far, might as well lift it and find out.

Re: BBVA

Although,  I'm not seeking any new credit.  I tried the screen and I received the same result.

Yeah I'm not really impressed... APR is 4% higher than minimum and the limit is *yawn*

The good news though is that the tool seems to have been expanded to all of their markets finally.

I got the same terms on the ClearPoints too. I suppose this bodes well for me getting a CLI if I'm willing to take the HP at least.
