Yes I found them last night google.

This one is specific to clearpoints.

https://www.bbvausa.com/special/clearpoints.html

I found the direct links to them.

ClearPoints - https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal?productid=0003

BBVA Rewards - https://online.bbvausa.com/apply/credit-card-prequal?productid=0005

I ran through it to see what would happen and you're right, the main one that checks both brought me to a selection page that went nowhere. I went through the process for BBVA Rewards and it came back and said they couldn't offer me anything because I have a freeze and then they referenced Experian.

Since I have gone so far, might as well lift it and find out.

@Anonymous Thank you for sharing the clearpoints link, it worked for NJ as well ! I was preapproved for another clearpoints but am currently in the garden until next May. If it's still up and running next year I'll check again, hopefully economy more stable. Actually wouldn't mind another 3%/2% card that could be dedicated to business spend. Even in current economy the estimated SL would more than likely top the Cap One Spark.

When ready definitely try for a CLI ! They were quite generous.

Re: BBVA

Saeren,

Thanks for posting the links. I have preapprovals for both at $4200 with no subs. I'm going to pass on them as I'm not looking for any new HP's right now.

Re: BBVA

I'm not going to apply for this card even though it says I'm preapproved. They offered me 17.xx% APR but even with the best rate it would be a no go for me because I'm still thinking about a mortgage. I'm not so sure there's no SUB though. When I hit the link for pricing and terms (right under the Visa logo) it brought me to a generic page about the card (APR can be as high as almost 30%! Yikes)! But it does mention a SUB of 100 on $1500 spend. I don't have this card. I have clearpoints and I've heard you can get more than one clearpoints but only one SUB for the clearpoints. BDC3EDA1-D81B-4C2A-A133-BFE01E7C61B4.jpeg

Re: BBVA

@cashorcharge The inquirey wasn't the real reason for the decline. I have 5 in the last year 2 in the last 6 months on Experian.

Re: BBVA

It would appear that this got their attention because I got my first email offer from them now.

There is a reservation code in the email.

I have zero use for a personal loan at the moment but hey, always nice to feel like your business is wanted. 👍

I'm hoping it may actually generate new preapproved credit card mailers once the program resumes. I was told by a manager in the credit department it's the only way to qualify for a sub when applying for the same card. She said the sub is built into the approved promotion reservation code. Without it, at least you would still get the 0% apr/bt promo. Wish they'd offer reduced or 0 fee BTs too. Oh well, CU's seem to have that highly valuable perk well covered!

Interesting note about the SUB. I was under the impression that even if you get a flier in the mail, if you're an existing customer you're disqualified.
